Kitty Update

As promised here is an update of that beloved kitty - now named Emma.

While she still has a lot to go through, she looks better.  She still has a hard time moving, but she is very affectionate and has been as sociable as can be expected.

Emma is still not eating and an esophageal tube will be placed later today so that she can get the nourishment she needs to recover.  She also does not yet use her litter box.

More surgery is definitely in her future and donations are still very much welcomed.

A facebook fan page has been created to help her cause and to keep everyone connected.  Please join and spread the word.  http://www.facebook.com/pages/New-York-NY/Emma-her-long-journey-back/231516941351?ref=nf#/

  1. Jia and I spent some time with her today. Her face is a bit more swollen than the pictures, but that seems normal. She also has a tube in her neck for feeding, which is working out really well for her. She's getting better nutrition now that they can get "solid" food into her, and its clearly perking her up.

She was shamelessly soliciting head scritches and she rolled over several times asking for belly rubs. She loves "making muffins" as my vet calls kneading with her paws, and starts doing it almost as soon as someone touches her. Even with all the pain she is in, and with all the trauma she has suffered, she is a truly sweet and charming little girl.

I'll post more after I see her again on tuesday. Hopefully we'll have updated pictures then as well.

Thanks for all of your help in this. It has been invaluable!
