Kitty Update 2

I know many of you are anxious for an Emma update.

"She has had an additional surgery on her jaw, is out of her collar, purrs loudly, uses her litter box, grooms herself and loves human attention. She will still need some additional surgery but her progress has been amazing and moving. We are hoping she will begin eating on her own and be rid of her feeding tube, but I haven't heard an update on that."

To date there are 1100 + people who have become 'fans' of her cause on Facebook and together we have raised nearly $5000.

  1. The great news is that Emma has been eating on her own for almost a week now! She's been doing so well that they removed her feeding tube the other day. I saw her earlier (unfortunately I couldn't pet her as I had just been holding some kittens with mysterious and long term illnesses and didn't want to risk Emma's newfound good health. But she saw me through the cage door and immediately rolled over for belly rubs, and pawed at the door. She's such a flirt :-)

She still needs one more surgery on her jaw, but she's stable enough now that it can wait until she's spayed. Dr Brown wants to wait a month before those are done since she has only just started to eat food (she refused for weeks), and doesn't want to lose that.

Emma looks AMAZING! Thanks go out to everyone that donated to her care. You all made her life and happiness possible. You are ALL angels.
